The Gospel According to Politics

Politics matters. Questions of justice, community, belonging, and security are woven through Scripture. But when our political identity becomes more than a set of convictions, friendships fray, family gatherings grow tense, and neighbors begin to look like strangers. The community Jesus formed offers a striking picture: a tax collector and a zealot, political opposites, sharing the same table as his followers. This week we’ll explore what it means for the Gospel to be deeply political without being captured by any party, and how the table of Christ might still gather those the world keeps pulling apart.
