The Des Moines Area Religious Council (DMARC) Food Pantry Network offers a food pantry delivery service to the greater Polk County area. There are no income restrictions or delivery charges for those wishing to receive a delivery. Orders must be placed over the phone and callers should be ready to provide basic information about their household. Delivery boxes include a preselected 3-day supply of food for a household. While speaking with the representatives on the phone, please ensure to include any special dietary restrictions, concerns or delivery instructions. Please do not hesitate to call if you or someone you know is seeking assistance.

Call 1-833-DMARC-20 (1-833-362-7220) to request a delivery.

HOW TO CONTINUE TO HELP: The Cubs games are now in progress. If you take 3 nonperishable food items to the DMARC booth there, you can get a free general admission ticket. Our Farmer's Market has started. You are invited to bring baked goods, houseplants and produce from our gardens to be placed on the table to be bought with donations to DMARC and the Comet Cupboard.

HOW OUR CONGREGATION CAN HELP; DMARC PREFERS MONEY!! DMARC can buy 2 to 6 times more with our money than we can ($10=9meals). If you wish to help, please check out the church's VANCO giving app or you may WRITE A CHECK (DMARC in memo) out to Polk City United Methodist Church, 1421 West Broadway, Polk City, Iowa 50226 ATTN Finance Secretary or PLACE IN THE OFFERING PLATE.

For volunteering or any questions please check out DMARC  or talk to Linda Pennington.  Thank you for helping our hungry neighbors!
