DMARC Update

Many blessings from Des Moines Area Religious Council (DMARC) for our donation of 8,000 meals packaged by our youth group, congregation and community by partnering with Outreach. Doug McKinstry deserves a huge thank you for organizing this event! 

Doug McKinstry is planning a trip with the Granger Mosque youth and our youth to DMARC on Sunday, December 7th. Donations of whole grain cereal would be welcome. 

This comes at a greatly needed time, when DMARC saw 2,494 clients on November 3rd, 2025. This is the highest number served in one day in the 50 years of DMARC’s existence.

Sarah Trone Garriott, the Coordinator of Interfaith Engagement, will be leaving DMARC at the end of December after 8 years of interfaith connections that she has made. There will be a reception on Tuesday, December 9th, honoring her.
