DMARC Update

The Des Moines Area Religious Council (DMARC) operates the closest pantry to us in Ankeny, through IMPACT Community Action Partnership. IMPACT runs pantries in Ankeny, Boone, the Drake neighborhood, and throughout Jasper, Marion, and Warren counties.

Like other pantries in the Des Moines area, the Ankeny site provides:  2–3 day food handouts per family, food pick-up and delivery, and anytime food shelves.

In addition, IMPACT offers utility and housing assistance, the RAYS scholarship program, and help connecting with community resources. The Ankeny location is at 641 South Ankeny Boulevard.

HOW TO CONTINUE TO HELP:

The Cubs games are now in progress. If you take 3 nonperishable food items to the DMARC booth there, you can get a free general admission ticket. Our Farmer's Market has started. You are invited to bring baked goods, houseplants and produce from our gardens to be placed on the table to be bought with donations to DMARC and the Comet Cupboard.
